Our Story

Canadian bestselling author (Out of the Shadows memoir) and human trafficking survivor Timea Nagy  (www.timeanagy.com) and her co-founder, survivor, and peer support worker Michelle Furgiuele founded Timea's Market in 2017.

The goal was to create a fun, healing environment for survivors of sex trafficking where they can come and learn new job skills, but most importantly, learn about themselves and build resiliency and new skills to feel empowered and ready to reintegrate. 

From 2017 to 2020, Timea's Market provided employment training programs and retreats for victims of human trafficking. We had to halt the employment program due to the pandemic, but we intend to start up again by 2026.

In the meantime, Timea's Market products are created and produced in a private facility in Muskoka, Ontario, by survivors and volunteers. 

Our natural and organic products help with stress relief, cleaning, and soothing at-home spa treatments like a foot soak or a warm bath.

We frequently asked how the typical person could help us further our cause.

So we created the unique Buy One, Give One Away program, which offers the general public the opportunity to purchase one spa package for themselves and one for a survivor of human trafficking, a package that will be distributed to survivors across Canada throughout our wide network of law enforcement and victim service agencies.
